Messing about on water

Let the Victorian classic, "Three Men in a Boat", be our inspiration on your Country House Hideout. At Wyresdale Park, you can hire your own boat restored from that era. You can row across to the private picnic spot on the other side of the lake, fish from it or event check in from the car park to your encampment's jetty - all for just £25 per day.

The river Teviot, one Scotland's prime salmon and trout rivers, flows not far from the veranda of your tents at Chesters. So why not try your hand at trout fishing in the summer and salmon in the autumn, £10 and £50 per day respectively. Rods can be provided and tuition can also be arranged. So all you'll need is a spot of luck and that will be dinner dealt with.

Messing about on land

We have also made special arrangements for guests at land-locked estates. A stay at Layer Marney Tower will mean you gain free admittance to the Tudor Tower. At Acton Scott, if you purchase a one-time ticket, unlimited entrance to the 'Victoria Farm' will be yours to enjoy as the demonstrations change every day.
